Sarika Thakur (born 3 June 1960), better known as Sarika, is an Indian actress. Apart from acting, she also served as costume designer, sound designer & associate director for Kuruthipunal under Raaj Kamal Films International. In 2005, she won the National Film Award for Best Actress for the English film Parzania.

Sachin Pilgaonkar (Konkani: सचिन पिळगावकर; born 17 August 1957), often known by his first name Sachin, is an Indian film and television actor, director, singer and producer. Starting as a footballer in the Marathi film, Ha Majha Marg Ekla (1962), he went on to act in around 65 films as a child artist, before switching to adult roles, and giving hits like Geet Gaata Chal (1975), Balika Badhu (1976), Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se (1978) and Nadiya Ke Paar (1982) as a lead actor. He has worked in Hindi, Marathi and also in Bhojpuri cinema, and has acted, produced and directed successful comedy shows on Indian television, including Tu Tu Main Main (2000) and Kadvee Khatti Meethi. Saratchandra Chatterjee, also known as Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay, was a Bengali novelist and short story writer of the early 20th century. Most of his works deal with the lifestyle, tragedy, and struggle of the village people and the contemporary socio-cultural practices that prevailed in Bengal. He remains the most popular, translated, and adapted Indian author of all time. His works have been adapted in around fifty films in different South Asian languages. Particularly, his novel 'Devdas' (1917) has been adapted in sixteen different cinematic versions in languages including Bengali, Hindi, and Telugu. His novel 'Parineeta' (1914) has also been adapted thrice as Hindi language films. Hrishikesh Mukherjee (30 September 1922 – 27 August 2006) was an Indian film director, editor and writer regarded as one of the greatest filmmakers of Indian cinema, known for a number of films, including Anari, Satyakam, Chupke Chupke, Anupama, Anand, Abhimaan, Guddi, Gol Maal, Majhli Didi, Chaitali, Aashirwad, Bawarchi, Kissi Se Na Kehna, and Namak Haraam. Popularly known as Hrishi-da, he directed 42 films during his career spanning over four decades, and is named the pioneer of the 'middle cinema' of India. Renowned for his social films that reflected the changing middle-class ethos, Mukherjee "carved a middle path between the extravagance of mainstream cinema and the stark realism of art cinema"

Meena Kumari (born Mahjabeen Bano; August 1, 1933 – March 31, 1972) was an Indian actress, as well as an occasional poet, playback singer and model. She was described by critics as a historically incomparable actress of Hindi Cinema. Though best known for her sensitive portrayals of struggling women, earning her the title "The Tragedy Queen", she starred in over 90 films that varied in genres, from traditional melodramas, mythological adventures, comedies, historicals and Muslim socials. At the peak of her career, she was the highest-paid actress, and set fashion trends for women in the 1950s.

Lata Mangeshkar was an Indian playback singer and occasional music composer. She was the best-known and most respected playback singer in India. She was referred to as the Nightingale of India and the Queen of Melody. Mangeshkar's career started in 1942 and had spanned over seven decades. She recorded songs for over a thousand Hindi films and had sung songs in over thirty-six regional Indian languages and foreign languages, primarily in Marathi and Hindi. She was the recipient of three National Film Awards, 12 Bengal Film Journalists' Association Awards, four Filmfare Best Female Playback Awards, two Filmfare Special Awards, Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award and many more. The Dadasaheb Phalke Award was bestowed on her in 1989 by the Government of India. She was also the second vocalist, after M. S. Subbulakshmi, to have ever been awarded the Bharat Ratna in 2001, India's highest civilian honor. She was the first Indian to perform in Royal Albert Hall in 1974. She was conferred France's highest civilian award (Officer of the Legion of Honour) in 2007. Due to all of her achievements, many singers and musicians consider her to be one of the greatest female singers in the Hindi film industry.
